Crit Club with Sarah Walden and Ollie MacDonald-Brown

Ollie MacDonald-Brown and Sarah Walden will give a short introduction to their collaborative practice and will then lead a discussion on Ariel, their latest piece that was shown at Digbeth First Friday on 4th of March. Ariel represents a new departure in their research applying glitch methodology to analogue photographic processes in relation to the human body.

This event is free and open to the public.

Artist Biographies

Ollie MacDonald-Brown graduated from Birmingham School of Art with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art in the summer of 2015. He has been a part of Black Hole Club for a year now and in that time has taken part in multiple exhibitions and lead a workshop alongside his collaborator, Sarah Walden. Since 2014 he has regularly collaborated with artist, and fellow Black Hole Club member, Sarah Walden: they continue to develop their professional practise/s alongside each other.

Sarah Walden has recently completed her Masters in Fine Art at Birmingham School of Art and is a Doctoral candidate seeking funding for her research. She has been an active Black Hole Club member for two years. She develops her practise through professional association with the Black Hole Club and her ongoing practise-led research with The Centre for Fine Art Research at Birmingham City University.
