Workshop and Performance: Kate Spence for tART
03/12/2015 @ 10:00 - 16:00
Kate Spence will be holding a workshop for volunteer performers on the 3rd December. On the workshop Kate will direct participants in an interactive, human, performative installation to then be performed at tART, a night of music, performance and moving image by Kate, and fellow Black Hole Club members, Michael Lightborne and Ryan Hughes to be held on December’s Digbeth First Friday at Vivid Projects.
If you would like to be part of this you do not need any previous performance experience but an open mind, a willingness to perform/interact in/with public, and a sense of the ridiculous are quite important. For more information and to register interest in being part of this performance email Kate at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All volunteers will need to attend the workshop on the 3rd from 10.00am to 4pm and for the performance on the 4th from 6pm to 10pm. Both workshop and performance will be at Vivid Projects.
Kate Spence is a live artist/curator and Director of Birmingham live art organisation Home For Waifs And Strays.
Her personal practice has developed from intimate one to one based performances to very physical, spectacle based works, often utilising film and sound to create immersive performance experiences.
